Over the past year I have found myself fascinated, and captivated, by the beauty of elephants. They are such amazing and strong animals that exhibit a grace that no other creature can match. I’ve gone so far as to place a small pink elephant sticker on my computer to remind myself of the symbolism and power of this animal.

More recently I’ve started to wear a small gold pendant around my neck to remind myself, daily, of the spiritual meaning and power of the elephant.

According to “The Symbolism of the Elephant” an article that can be found here: (http://www.acropolis.org.in/articles/162-the-symbolism-of-the-elephant) “The elephant, in its most global and universal meaning, symbolizes strength and power, not only physical but also mental and spiritual.” The article also claims that the Elephant is “a destroyer of obstacles” and allows one to realize their “hearts desires.” Needless to say right now in my life I could definitely benefit from the symbolic meanings of the elephant. I need to apply their strength into my own life, and find my inner power and motivation to conquer my illness. Maybe I should call the elephant my spirit animal, however I’ve been told that your spirit animal picks you, you don’t pick your spirit animal… womp, womp, womp. I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed that the elephant believes in me just as much as I believe in it! So today, if I began to feel weak, I will remind myself that it’s “an elephantastic day” and I am stronger and more powerful than I know.
How can this amazing animal not bring a smile to your face?!
